What to do with it

Put used water filter cartridges in your general waste bin, letting them drain first so they are not dripping. Check the packaging or the maker's own website before you throw them out, because a few brands run their own take-back schemes. The plastic housing of a jug filter is not bought as scrap plastic once it holds carbon and resin. Bag the cartridges with your normal waste and book a Baanza disposal pickup.
