Strip off every decoration, light and piece of tinsel first, and check the branches carefully before anything is bagged. A real tree can be cut into short lengths and kept with your wood, or composted at home if you have space; take the wooden block off the base, because it is too dense to break down. An artificial tree in good condition is worth offering on Donate and Swap. Book a Baanza disposal pickup for the rest.
